Jeannine, Leo and Jesse: I am so very sorry and brokenhearted to hear of Brent's passing. Although I had just met Brent, it was clear he was a great guy who was fun, thoughtful, caring and easy to be around. I will forever treasure and be thankful for our two days in Georgia together this summer. It was evident in that time how much he loved you all. You will remain in my thoughts and prayers in the days and weeks to come.

~ Liz Graham

My sincerest and deepest condolences to Brent's close Family and Friends. I first met Brent in High school and although not in the same year I could see that he was a great guy. Meeting him again when I started working for the same company I could see nothing had changed, he was still a great guy. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

It hurts so much to hear this news but brings back so many fond memories of times spent on the basketball court with Brent and his team-mates. I had the privilege of coaching Brent both in my first year in Tillsonburg as the junior coach and in his senior year as the senior coach. I will always remember Brent as a quiet leader with a great passion and love for the sport and his team-mates. An extremely talented athlete with great leaping ability, I dubbed him Woody after a character in the movie White Men Can't Jump. His legacy in particular because of his jumping ability carried on for several years after he graduated when I ran an alley-oop dunk play and called it the Woody. It became well-known as fans and players from other teams would call out for us to run the Woody. More importantly, Brent sacrificed his talents to become an integral part of the best talent I had coached. We were to be the top seed at OFSAA AA in his senior year having beaten quite a few AAA and AAAA teams but were sadly upset in the WOSSA final at Stratford, a loss that all of us have had a hard time forgetting. As talented as Brent was as a player, he was even a much better person and I had no doubts he would turn into the wonderful man he became. I am sure he is dunking and shooting 3's over the Pearly Gates. I will never forget him
