Duncan Gillis

On Sunday, August 19, 2018, Duncan Gillis, of London, passed away peacefully at University Hospital. Born in East Uniacke, Nova Scotia, on September 16, 1935, Duncan was in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of 58 years to Eleanor. Dear father of Tracey (Jim) Gillis. Loving Grandfather of Summer and Morgan. Also loved by his sister, Mary Gillis and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son, Michael (2000), and by his parents and four siblings. A memorial service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Friday, August 24, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Private interment of cremated remains at St. Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Chelsey Park Residents’ Fund would be appreciated by the family.

My sincere condolences to your family. My father was born on PEI but raised in Dartmouth. His full name is Hollis Sinclair Gillis and went by Clair. Can't help but wonder if there is a relation with your Gillis family. Thanks and again, I'm sorry for your loss.
