Passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Saturday, May 5, 2018 in his 91st year. Peter was a Maltese member of the British Navy. Loving father of Carmen Smith (Larry), Lora Trewartha (Bill), Rita Szczur (Walter), Raymond (Linda), Joe (Sandy), Antoinette Overton (Robert) and Tony (Trish). Proud grandfather to many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Joe Vella (Maggie) and the late Mary Buttigieg. Peter was predeceased by his first wife, Annie (1970) and by his daughter, Jane Fortune (1994). He will be fondly remembered by his extended family and many friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3:00 – 5:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Pete are asked to consider the Veterans Care Program at Parkwood Institute or Wounded Warriors Canada.
