The hardest walk home any parent will ever take is the one after their child has "run" ahead of them. As Karen Merulla's mom I know this is true. I believe we both know the message she wishes to deliver. No matter how you feel- Get up, dress up, show up, and never give up! I'd like to add : when ever grief tries to steal the beauty of your memories - remember love never dies. And now we must live lives that will them proud.

My deepest condolences to all the family.....although I did not actually know Beckett, what I have learned is that he was a bright young man with a great sense of humour who was loved by all who knew him. His loss will be deeply felt....Rest in Peace, Beckett.

Many thoughts have played in my mind these last days , our hearts are all filled with sadness but also with moments of happiness that comes with relflecting on his memories. When I think of Beckett, the same picture always comes to mind, a smiling, attentive and intelligent young man . I am blessed to be called his BIG SISTER . I watched him grown from a younge boy to towering over my head ! He always spoke with such enthusiasm, I will miss our conversations deeply. Beck was a wonderful uncle to my children , he is so patient and kind. Marcus's knowledge of all things technology has vastly expanded thanks to Beck! Next time I am cursing at my computer I will pause and think "how would Beck explain what to do! " Beck will be missed and forever in our hearts .

Beckett touched my and Adrianna's lives deeply. He was always there for my daughter when she needed him the most . He was her best friend. His unique sense of humor was matching her own, he was very gifted, but at the same time had a very soft and gentle soul. "I have been trying to offer words these past few days. I always feel they fall miles short of adequate. It was good you were able to have that time with Beckett. A hug and knowing nod are powerful. I hope you are able to gain strength from family gathering to fondly remember the many wonderful experiences packed into life. Take time to laugh over the good times and relive in amazement the struggles overcome. Beckett lived an amazing life,in an amazing time. He travelled and influenced many people. Everyone was far better for the experience... your Mom said often to you that your ancestors will spiral in chains of knowledge hidden in every cell of your body. My most heartfelt condolences to the Smith family for the loss of Beckett. He was my best friend, and has been there for me when no one else was. And has been there for so many others when he was needed, always knowing what to say to bring a smile to our faces, always right on time. He's truly blessed me with incomparable memories, and my life is so much better now that he was in it. A secret talent of his was how he always made days brighter. My greatest condolences for your loss. I was one of Beckett's classmates, one of many who he had an impact on. Beckett was an extremely intelligent and thoughtful young man. He was gifted with technology and an extensive knowledge of computers, and I distinctly remember him answering every technology-based question I ever had. He had a brilliant sense of humour too, and always made the best jokes. My favourite being the chicken report, a paper with all the words replaced with "chicken". Not only that, but he was always respectful and understanding, and listened to anything anyone had to say. Beckett had friends everywhere, and touched everyone in his own unique way. As a young man of high caliber, he will be remembered as such in everyone's hearts.

We are so heartbroken for the loss of Beckett.  During our time together as a family it has been wonderful watching Beckett grow from a boy to a young man with so many gifts and natural talents and with such a bright future. We will forever cherish the memories we shared together and keep his spirit fondly in our hearts.
