Peacefully surrounded by her family at Earls Court Village on Saturday, March 31, 2018 in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Stewart Shaughnessy (2007). Loving mother of Maureen Capstick (John) of London, and Gordon Shaughnessy (Sherry) of St. Marys. Devoted grandmother of Ryan Capstick of London, Colleen Shaughnessy-Wolfe (Michael) of St. Marys, and Kevin Shaughnessy (Karen Gormley) of Halifax. Cherished great-grandmother of Declan and Maeve Shaughnessy and Jericho Wolfe. Predeceased by her brothers Alastair Wilson (Reta) of Etobicoke and James Wilson of B.C. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Janet are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Alzheimer Society London Middlesex.
