Marilyn Joan Collier (nee Harvey)

I had the pleasure of knowing both Marilyn and Bert prior to their move to Peoplecare. I have fond memories of them, they were always smiling and laughing and it was beautiful to see just how much the loved each other. They even trusted me to take care of their beloved cat Casey when they had to move and it was a honour that I will cherish always. Happy to know Marilyn is now with Bert. I am keeping the family in my thoughts and prayers.

To the family of Marilyn Collier, On behalf of the Wray, Ufford and Hawkins families, I offer sincere condolences to the family and friends of Marilyn. My mother Loreen (Wray ) Ufford was the daughter of Laura Collier and a first cousin to Bert. Growing up in London /Byron, my brothers and I remember Bert and Marilyn from numerous family functions and get-togethers over the years. As contemporaries and first cousins, Bert and my mother Loreen and her sister Ellen (Wray) Hawkins shared many experiences in their childhood and youth, including each others' weddings, family baptisms, etc.. Bert was my brother John's godparent along with Marion Collier Hopefully you can take comfort from the very long and good life that Marilyn and Bert shared. Sincerely, Paul Ufford

Dear Marilyn We will miss you at our 65th class reunion but you will certainly be in our thoughts . The nursing class of Victoria Hospital 1953 is a special group of ladies. You were one of the best and more sane ones in a class that enjoyed fun and laughter. We loved it when we were able to get you to dance for us . It has been a joy to be your class mate and friend. May your family be supported by many happy memories of your parents Lucy Williams

Dear Collier Family, We were neighbors and friends for many years and I still cherish the fun times. Marilyn you taught our daughters to play the piano an asset that they enjoy to this day. Try to remember your wonderful family life ,and that will help your grieving process. Sincerely,Lois

Dear Brenda and Family, Yesterday I found out that Marilyn had passed when I went to visit her at Peoplecare. I am so sad and am sorry that you have lost your dear Mother. We had a really nice visit during her Massage in February. She was having a very good day. Marilyn was a thoughtful friend to many at the Home. I will miss her. Thinking of you, Nancy
