Helen ‘Anna’ Mary Deeks

On Sunday, February 11th, 2018, at the age of 92, Anna Deeks, of London, passed away, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Lorne Deeks (1982). Cherished mother of Jim Deeks (Lin), Rick Deeks (Sue) and predeceased by her daughter, Janet Milne. Anna will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and by many dear friends. The family extends a very special thanks to the nursing staff at University Hospital on the 7th floor and in the ER. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London where the funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, February 15th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Anna are asked to consider the London Regional Cancer Program or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

You may not remember me but my family lived on Emery Street in the early 60's. We are the Salton's and I remember being good friends and playing at the home of Ricky & Janet for a number of years. I have 4 brothers and 1 sister we lived just behind your home on Ridout St. I'm sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Many fond memories of times long ago. My thoughts are with you, Karen
For Jim and Rick Sorry about your loss guys I new your Mum as she worked for my Dad - Ben Cramer for many years. As a matter of fact both of you did Remember me - Peter Cramer ? I'm sure you do Last time I saw you Jim was at Bill Palms' memorial that his girlfriend Dee put on - she died herself one year later Time passes quickly My mother passed away about 7 years ago My Dad just passed away last month - two days after his birthday. He was 97 ! Well guys, again, I'm truly sorry Would like to have attended the service but I'm having to attend a memorial for my sister Bernadette today She passed away one year ago about the same date as your Mum As well, condolences for you sister Janet However, I don't quite remember her Should get together some time and talk about old times Peter Cramer

I am so sorry for your loss. I did not know your Mom personally, but feel as if I got to know her through you. She was a strong, loving woman with an amazing sense of humor. I know this as these are characteristics of your family. She will be missed, but will live on in your hearts and memories. Love to you all.
