Ruth Eileen Smith

Passed away at Parkwood Institute on Monday, January 29, 2018, after a 25 month battle with pancreatic cancer, at the age of 78. Sadly missed by her husband, Wally; son, Steven (Elaine); daughter, Shelley (Rob); and her sister, Shirley, of Mississauga. She loved her six grandchildren. Ruth was a stay-at-home Mom before entering the workforce with Birks Jewellers. After retiring, she volunteered in the ICU Department at University Hospital for 11 years. Ruth’s wishes for cremation and no services will be respected. Donations to London Health Sciences Foundation – Gastrointestinal Fund would be appreciated.
