Dorothy Ethel Knight

January 7, 2018

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy on Sunday, January 7th, 2018 in her 95th year. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Ronald (1972), and her loving partner, Robert Smith (2017); her parents, Wilfred and Dorothy Price; her sister, Irene (Lewis) Cole and her brother, Jack. She is survived by her son, John Knight (Sherrill) and her daughter, Valerie Belecky (Al); grandchildren: Eric Knight (Helen Dickinson), Kara Knight (Aaron Caldwell), Krista Cook (Ryan), John Belecky (Mandy); great-grandchildren: Chase and Ainsley Cook, Liam and Marley Belecky. As a mother, a grandmother, a wife, a partner, a friend, and a professional woman, Dorothy was clever, athletic, unstoppable and generous.  Dorothy’s family wishes to thank her caregivers at Highview Residences. A private memorial service will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Dorothy are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society London and Middlesex.

Dear Val: I was so sorry to read of your Mum's death. I have good memories of happy times in the company of Dorothy and Betty, some golf outings, a few bridge games when I was a slow learner, curling and lunches with the RATS. My thoughts and prayers are with you Val and John and all the family at this difficult time. Morag Kinchlea

To Dorothy's Family, Very sorry to hear of Dorothy's passing. She was a lovely lady and her and Uncle Bob shared many good years together. She loved to golf in the Smith family reunions and was always part of the group at our annual picnics. Thinking of you at this time. Barb
