I've known Mildred since I was just a baby as she lived across the street from my parents. In so many ways, she was a surrogate mother to me, showing me love and direction in my life. When I finally found a passion, it was sewing, and Mildred was the one who spent countless hours teaching me to be a perfectionist in this craft. She also helped me sew my own wedding dress. I will always cherish her friendship - it was truly a gift from God. She loved my son and children and I still have a toy she gave the kids one Christmas. I will miss talking to her but my life going forward is going to be so much better because she was a part of it. When you go into Sandra's home, you know for certain, it is a home of love - and that is what she taught her daughters. Love continues forever - and - I love you Mildred.

Just heard from Bill in Florida and Kelly in Vancouver that your Mom had passed away on Wednesday. Please accept my condolences. Memories are the treasure house of the mind and I have some wonderful memories of Mildred. She was indeed a lovely lady. Sincerely, Sheila
Dear Sandra, Pat and family - Mildred and I first became friends at Wilmar Heights United Church. She had such positive energy, deep faith and a quest for learning. Her genuine warmth, interest and care for others shone through every interaction. Together we attended an Alpha program as well as other workshops and church events and shared great conversations on our respective faith journeys. Following her move to London, we maintained contact via Christmas letters. It was an inspiration to hear from her every year. Her passion for life and love of family, friends and her church shone through every word. I will miss hearing from her but take comfort in the friendship we shared these many years. May God's loving embrace surround you all and bring you peace and strength in the day's ahead. Fondly, Christine BellBEGO
It was a pleasure to get to know Mildred in the short time she attended therapy at Parkwood. My condolences.
Sorry to hear of your loss Sandra - I pray you have many loving memories of your mother and good times spent together. No matter how old we are the loss of a parent is difficult. She was blessed to have you to care for her and keep her in the past several years. May God bring you peace in the days ahead. Jacquie

We are so saddened to learn of Mildred's passing. We have known Mildred and Art since Pat and Sandra were young girls. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother, a very kind and generous person to whomever she met. We have such fond memories of our family get togethers during holiday times and other occasions that we will cherish as long as we live. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Sandra and Pat and their families. Our love and prayers will be with them and throughout the days and weeks ahead.
