Doris Jean Watson

April 16, 2017

Peacefully at LHSC Victoria Hospital, on Sunday, April 16th, 2017, Doris Jean Watson (née Milton), comforted by the love of her three daughters, passed into the arms of her Heavenly Father. Predeceased by her husband, Percy, and by her parents and siblings, Doris has joined them all in Heaven for a “down east reunion”. Sadly missed by daughters Susan Storie (Rick), Kathleen Riddell, and Lori Bowen (Neil). Cherished grandmother of Jonathon Riddell (Melissa). Loving sister-in-law, cousin and aunt to many, Doris was never happier than when we were all at her table. She enjoyed family meals, tea parties and going out for brunch. She loved reading and instilled a learning spirit in her girls. Doris was a past Sunday school teacher and a member of the United Church. Doris appreciated her team of healthcare professionals. The family would like to thank Dr. Mekhaeil, Dr. Blake, and his team, Dr. Gupta and Dr. Borrie, and his team, for years of exemplary care. We will be forever grateful to the superb and caring professionals at LHSC Emergency and Palliative Care who have eased our journey through the past three weeks. Words cannot express our gratitude. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, April 20th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.  Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
