Our sincere sympathy to the family. We had the wonderful experience of having known Hinke ever since she resided at Kensington Village, when we met Hinke through my brother in law Arn van Andel. At one time she had asked us if we coud bringh a Frisian flag on one of our trips to The Nethrlands. We did indeed and we have seen her several times at the Royalcliffe. She was a wonderful lady, very artistic with her dried flowers and had a very optimistic and joyful attitude. We will always keep her memory in our hearts.

Hinke was my neighbour at Royalcliffe for over four years. I miss her a lot, we saw each other daily. It was a real shock to hear that she died so suddenly. She was a wonderful person.

What a wonderful quiet gentle presence Hinke was. I remember her joining my Tea and Conversation Group and Prayer Circle when I first met her. I enjoyed the breaks during my day with her and Loreen in the Atrium, but more importantly I remember our private visits. Hinke would share her love of flowers, (still have some pressed greeting cards and bookmarks) of family and her strong faith. She always had a word of encouragement and visiting Hinke would leave me feeling calm and peaceful. I was honoured to officiate at the Grandson's wedding and to visit once again with my dear friend Hinke. To this day, I think of her when I relax with my daily fix of Sudoku which she taught me how to do. Hinke the footprints you have left upon my heart will always remain and are very dear to me. Thank you for being a part of my life.
