To the Giffin Family: Our thoughts and prayers go out to you in the passing of Frank, which has been a shock to all of us. Frank was one of a kind and I had the pleasure of working with him in Security Branch for quite some time. His humor, wit and respect for his peers and superiors left him in good stead. I could always count on Frank to send me e-mails almost on a daily basis which contained jokes, anecdotes that reflected his thoughts and opinions on a variety of subjects. Frank will be sorely missed especially at the annual AGM. Rest in Peace old Friend. Jack

As a colleague of Frank's - working beside him as a police officer, Frank brought a treasure load of wonderful moments with him. Just tonight I was recalling this wonderful man, and took it upon myself to look him up. Seeing we have lost him was crushing. What a truly decent and enlivening man, and what a loss. I realize of course that some time has now gone by since his passing, but I have no doubt the space he left behind in the hearts of those who knew and loved him still remains, which prompted me to add my condolences even now. My best wishes to you all, and a prayer that his smile, chuckle, kindness, wisdom and strength continue to fill your memories and warm your hearts.

~ Kevin Short

The world is a sadder place without Frank. What a gift he gave to the community of Halton Hills! So many will remember him as their favourite Volunteer driver when they had to brave cancer treatments or medical appointments or dialysis. Frank was there, not only to drive them but to offer his kind words of support. When he was on the Board at the Red Cross Branch, we always enjoyed his humour and his wisdom, but mostly his humour, and his stories! He must have been a phenomenal police officer and trusted guard of some of Ontario's finest official positions. He was a friend and mentor. He always made us feel better, just by walking into the room, like somehow he would make things better and he always did... or if he didn't, at least we could laugh. You are so fortunate to have Frank as family. May you treasure his memories and his amazing legacy of kindness that he left here in Halton Hills and all the places he lived.

Many, many years ago, in the Village of Eganville, Ontario, I met up with the Giffin brothers, Frankie and Buddy. That was back in the 1940's and I never forgot them. They were living with their Grand Parents, Mr. and Mrs. JB Deloughery. Frankie made a visit back to Eganville but I can't remember seeing him. I notice that Frankie was in his 82nd year and I'll be 83 on Feb. 12, 2016. I wish to offer my sincere sympathy to his wife, Louise and the rest of their family. PS. I often wonder what became of Buddy. With kindest regards, Terry Howard
