Cam and Brandie, sorry to hear about your father . I remember Ray from years ago when he was a big part of the Byron Hockey program , we thank him for his time and efforts, Be Well Rob
Our sincere condolences from the YMCA of Western Ontario, specifically the Centre Branch Y. I had the pleasure of speaking with Ray weekly over the past 8 years when he would come in for his workouts. We would chat as he would bike and he was always so kind to ask about how my children were doing, how my career was going and always had such a wonderful outlook on life. He would tell me about what his grand kids were up too and would have the proudest look on his face when telling me about his family. His smile and positive attitude will be missed around the Y but his spirit will be with us. With deepest sympathy from our Y family, Nicole and the staff at the Y xox
We are so sorry to hear this new.ray was an amazing individual. He was so personable and was genuinely interested in the people he met. He loved his family and was truly proud of each of them. I will miss sitting at baseball games with him and having great conversations about the life around us! Thinking of you Brandie , Andrew and Cam The Fitzsimmons family
I have known Ray all of my life. Even though we were separated by 1000 miles, he was like another "dad" to me in my adult life. We emailed and talked by phone often, catching up on our families and our activities. I always loved our chats. Such a caring man. Your mom and dad's September visits to Minnesota were always so much fun. I always wished they would stay longer! It was so great that Ray was able to continue those fall visits. My mom and dad loved having him....going to the casino, off to a good play, out for a nice dinner, and just hanging around the house yacking about the good old days and all the fun times that the four of them had. Your dad will always have a place in my heart, and I will miss him dearly. Know that your Minnesota family is always here for you. I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. Sincere sympathy to all of you back "home." Love from Terry and all of the Nixon family xoxoxoxoxo
I never had the pleasure of meeting your dad, Brandie, but the way you spoke about him always made me think that he was a very special man. My sincere condolences to you and your family in your time of grief.
We will miss Ray at London Massage Therapy Centre. He arrived at our clinic shortly after the death of his wife, on the advice of his sister. We have cared for Ray ever since. He was a kind and knowledgeable man who always brightened our day. He was the 1st patient I spoke with after returning from my Mom's passing and we both cried. He had an air of calmness around him and always smiled. Our condolences to the family and many friends he had. Our hearts are heavy today.
So sad to hear of Ray's passing. Worked with him for many years both in Canada and Asia. He has always been a special person to all who have met him and has made a great career possible for people, not only In London Life, but in our industry. He became a friend and advisor the first time you met him. It is our privilege to have known and worked with him. Sincere sympathy to his family. He is in a better place now and finally back with his love, Lorraine. Dave and Carol Fisher
Dear Family: I was very deeply saddened to hear of Ray's passing ealier this week, I have many fond memories of your Dad and Grandpa during my 37 year career with the London Life. We had many great chats over the years and I was often mesmerized with Ray's mastering ability of the english lanquage. Ray always knew exactly what to say, at exactly the right moment, whatever the circumstances. He was very good and kind to me during the early days of my career. He will be missed by many. While no one can really know the pain you are suffering, I can only hope that the love and support of family and friends will help you through the difficult days ahead. With regards'
We received the very sad news of Ray's passing. He was the most gentle man, wise and kind. He was an immensely proud Dad and Grandpa and a wonderful neighbour. We wish we could be there in person to tell you how sorry we are and to extend our heartfelt sympathies to Brandie, Cam and his grandsons. Shirley and David
We were so saddened to hear that your dad and grandpa has passed away.He was a good friend and business associate for many years at London Life and after retirement we enjoyed seeing him from time to time and hearing all his latest news. Our heartfelt condolences to you all in your loss. Al and Doreen Robinson.
Ray Souter was one of a kind. He was a steady and honest insurance salesman and an even better manager, coach and teacher. A terrific role model and a wonderfully wise man. He was interesting and interested and had a marvellous way of making people feel better about themselves. We are sad to lose a good friend. Our sympathies to Brandie, Cam and family. Bob and Sheila
The famous humorist, Will Rogers, once said, "I never met a man I didn't like". Not only could Ray have said that, the opposite is also true. "Nobody who ever met Ray didn't like him". He was the most caring and thoughtful person we knew and felt blessed having him part of our lives for over 40 years. RIP dear friend, you will be missed by everyone. Our sympathies to Cam, Brandie, the boys and Carol. Gerry & Joyce
