Surrounded by her family on Monday, December 8, 2014. Survived by children Russell (Lesley) Cross of St. Marys, Tracy (Jeff) Thompson of Stratford and Sean (Kim) Cross of London. Lovingly remembered as “Grandma Ruth” by her grandchildren: Darian, Jalyn, Alec, Sarahanne and Mason. Dear sister of Marlene (Gerald) Fagan and Gwen (Ray) Oliver. Missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Stafford and Helen Love. Ruth loved her grandfur-babies: Bailey, LuLu and Chester. She enjoyed and was very talented at knitting, crocheting, quilting and needle point and was also gifted with a beautiful soprano voice. The memorial service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Ruth are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

Russell and family It was with great sadness that l learned of your loss. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
please accept our families condolences on the passing of Ruthie.... she was a kind gentle soul who always had a smile for us and a very big heart...... I know Ruth and my mom (Doreen) will be giggling and chatting away once again.......
So sorry to hear of Ruth's passing. She always made council meetings so much more enjoyable with her big smile. Thinking of you Tracy and Jeff and family.
Tracey, Russell, Sean, and your families - We were so disappointed this morning when our winter weather here in Whitby made it impossible for us to join you in London for your Mom's wake and funeral this afternoon. Please accept our deepest sympathies and condolences at this sad and difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
So sorry for your loss. I worked with Ruth at Shoppers Drug Mart in Northland Mall at Highbury in London. And seen her a few times at the London Casino. She will be missed I would of been at visitation but was working.
