In his 28th year, after a courageous battle with cancer, with his family at his side on Saturday, October 19th, 2013.  Beloved son of Dick and Janice (née Hughes) White, dear brother of Jeremy White and much loved by girlfriend Laura Schultz.  Dear nephew of Barry Hughes, Bill and Lynne Rysnik, Brian and Marian Hughes (St. Marys), Shirley and Garry Waugh (Woodstock), Brian and Julie Hartwick (Thorndale) and Doug White and partner Bev (Kirkfield).  Will be missed by special cousins Mike (Tammy) Waugh, and their sons Ian and Aaron, Sarah Hughes (Dennis Firth), Pete (Melanie) Hughes, and soon-to-arrive Cameron, Josh (Trish) Hartwick and their children Riley and Lilly, Amanda (Ryan) Elliott and their daughter Charlotte, Matt Hartwick (Ashley Hodgins), Zachary White and Ashley Stetson, and their families.  Predeceased by grandparents Harry and Reta Hughes and Wilbert and Beverley White.  David will also be missed by many dear friends.  The family is forever grateful to Dr. Kirk Hamilton (and Laurie) and Dr. Karin Hahn, L.H.S.C., and the VON team of Pauline (“Mother”), P.J. (“Nurse”) and Lindsay (“Sister”) for their excellent care.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, where the funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Sandra Bendall officiating.  Interment to follow in St. Marys Cemetery.  In David’s memory, donations to the VON, the DASH Foundation or North Nissouri United Church would be appreciated.
