My sincere condolences to the family of Dave. We met in London and on a couple of courses threw out our careers and found him to be one of the best comrades another soldier could find. RIP, Dave

A very dear and gentle, uniquely genuine and special human being; a good friend who I could count on always to say or do just the right thing at just the right time. I was truly blessed with his friendship. Although I will miss Dave profoundly, a part of him will live in my heart forever; how very fortunate; how very grateful I am. Thanks Dave. My sincere sympathy to Evelyn and family. Love, Sue ("Sue Sue") and Bailey.

Dear Evelyn & Family; We were privileged to know Cpl Wharry, as our Depot instructor (1955) Canadian Guards Depot . Over the years we would bump into each other exchange greetings and off we’d go in different directions . It saddens me knowing he has parted our company ... never again will we have the opportunity to remind each other of our times in the service . Reading through the obituaries and being familiar with other names and associates it warms my heart knowing others had the same impressions of Dave as a loyal, honest, hard working and intelligent serviceman. It must be said; “Dave was one of Canada's finest soldiers". Our heartfelt condolences and prayers extending strength into the future for those left struggling with Dave's passing.
