Dear Julie and family, So sorry to here of Johns passing. I still have many fond memories from the past of fishing with him on the Maitland River. He will be missed but I will keep his memory with me everytime I throw a line in the water. He was a stellar friend and father, Frank, Paula and CJ Kempf Tillsonburg, Ont.

Dear Jeanne, I am Joanne Jansen's sister and was so saddened to read online of John's early passing. Of course, I haven't seen John since grade school, but remember him well as a happy, mature, young man. A good brother, and a good friend to those who knew him. I am so sorry for your loss. God be with you. Alice
Dear Mrs.Harmer and family, So sorry to hear of your loss, my heart goes out to you. John was a very special person to many people in alot of ways. I have many fond, funny and loving memories of Harmer. Even years of working at Loblaws! Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Others leave footprints on our hearts and we are never the same. Deb Radhuber (Nee : Molesworth)
Rest in peace, my beautiful, handsome brother. You left us all, far too soon. I have many so wonderful memories of you, a lifetime of memories, to draw from, but particularly, those within the last couple of months, I hold most precious. You were an incredible Father, the best Dad EVER .... and honest to a fault. A loving, caring, loyal and devoted son, brother, Uncle and friend. You will be so missed, and forever loved, by so many. You will forever, be in my thoughts ... only good thoughts, and forever, in my heart. I expect you to make good, on that $17.89 ... so tuck it away, until we meet again. Forever and always, Love Jeanne & Danny
Dear Ruth, Jeanne, James, Joel and family, Please accept my sympathy on the loss of your dear son/brother, John. My memories go back to Brantford and the visits on Walnut and Oak Street. My memories of John are a very fun loving and caring family member who was always liked by those around him. John, you are far too young to leave your family and friends. May you rest peacefully in the arms of God. Your 2nd Cousin, Gary Cooper
Cousin John - happy memories of boyhood hours spent fishing with you on Black River Bay. We caught a lot - you caught more than anyone of course. Your Dad got his lure stuck and made you swim out to free it - you were so mad! Two years my senior, I looked up to you. A lot of fun to be with. Charasmatic and fun-loving. I am very sorry at your passing. All sympathy to your family and to Aunt Ruth, Jeanne, Jim, and Joel.

Harms! It was an honor to know and have you for a friend! I will always remember our car pool drives back and forth to Brantford to work! I will never forget canoeing down the Maintland river with you buddy and going over the Maitland Falls and losing our fishing gear!! Many Great Memories! To the Harmer Family, you are in our thoughts and Prayers! Lots of Love Critter and Jane
I am saddened to hear of John's passing. I will remember him as a great wit and an all-round fun and adventuresome being. I am honored to have traveled on the same path as John when we were younger and always enjoyed running into him over the years. My thoughts today are with the entire Harmer family. Rest in peace my friend.
God was smiling when you entered the gates of Heaven my dear cousin, partner in crime and friend. I have so many wonderful memories of you on Harbin Drive and of the summers spent in Canada with your family. It was like we were brother and sister, and I missed our close friendship after we grew to take on our own responsibilities. But know that you were always in my heart, and the memories I have will last my lifetime. You were a wonderful member of our extended USA family and my mother's heart is broken for she loved you so very much. You always took the time to visit her when you were traveling in the area and she would always be so happy after spending time with you! You left a legacy of love and friendship that can't be duplicated. In life, you had so many options in front of you and you seized them and lived your life with integrity, strength and kindness. In the end it was a tough battle emotionally, spiritually and physically, and you fought hard and kept your integrity, but your pain is now over. Say hello to the loved ones with you and I EXPECT that you will be there waiting for me when its my time!
Julie, John and Caroline, and Harmer family, We are so very sorry for your loss. We had many great times and many great memories. May you rest in peace Big john. You will always be loved and remembered. The Blais Family, Brian, Susie, Brent, Perre' and Renae
