At Victoria Hospital on Thursday, June 20th, 2013, Lewis Aughburn Wood passed away at the age of 87. Cherished husband of Roberta. Loving father of Gary and his wife Chrisencia, and Gail Zeiter and her husband Hans. Dear grandfather of Leah, David, Erin, Aaron and Patrick Wood, and Jennifer and Matthew Zeiter. Brother of Hazel Peppard and Alfrieda McElman and brother-in-law of Blaise MacQuarrie OMI, Clyde MacQuarrie and Gerald MacQuarrie. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. George Parish, 1164 Commissioners Road West, London, on Monday, June 24th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Lewis are asked to consider the Kidney Foundation of Canada or a charity of your choice.

Mr. Wood, I've known him since I was a teenager, the father of my best friend Gail and I will miss him dearly. I could never get used to calling him Lew, even though I'm now 63. Whenever Mr. and Mrs. Wood would come into the Westmount Mall they would visit me at Sears, where I worked, and he would always give me a big hug and say, my other favourite girl. He reminded me a lot of my own father who passed away in 2004 - love you and miss you. Ann
