Peacefully, surrounded by family at home on Sunday, August, 12th, 2012, Ronald “Ron” J. Doyle, of London, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Pauline (Dunn) Doyle. Dear father of Frank and his wife Janice, Sharon and her husband Mike Howard and the late Belinda (1960). Cherished Grandpa/Papa of Trent, Alicia and Cole. Loving brother of Ernest, Helen Reid, Charles, Earl (Joan), and Anne Noonan, and brother-in-law of Denise and Irene. Predeceased by his siblings Veronica, John A., Bernard, Ethel, Mary, Gerald and Leonard. Also adored by many nieces, nephews and friends. Ron was a veteran of the Korean War. Memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, August 16th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Donations in Ron’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Pauline, Frank, Sharon & Families, We are saddened to hear of the death of Uncle Ronnie. I have many fond memories of Ronnie coming home to the Island and staying with mom and dad. He was always in good humour and such a nice man. He will be missed greatly and we are very sorry for your loss. Pauline, Frank, Sharon and families, When Mom called and gave us the news my first thought was of Ronnies smiling face. Always welcoming when we would come to visit, didn't matter how long it had been, he made us feel like it had only been yesterday. His love for all of you was so apparent and I know that will help to carry you through this difficult time. If there is anything we can do for you please let us know. Big hugs from us all!!!

Pauline - my sincere condolences to you and your family. I was thinking of you a lot last week, and then discovered that Ronnie had passed away. I will forever remember him as my apartment 'go-to' guy when I lived on Viscount - I could always count on him to save me from whatever little mishap I created. Thinking of you, and happier times.
