Jean (Tuttle) Favell

July 8, 2012

Suddenly on Sunday, July 8th, 2012, Jean Favell passed away peacefully at home in her 82nd year. Beloved wife and best friend of her late husband Gerald Favell (58 years). Loving mother of Brenda Wakabayashi (Gary) and David (Sylvie). Much loved and cherished Grandma of Amberley and Mallory Wakabayashi and Owen and Graham Favell. Dear sister of the late Yvonne Elliott of Windsor and the late Betty Stewart of Woodstock. Jean enjoyed her career as a dedicated and compassionate nurse at University Hospital for over 20 years followed by a long, relaxing retirement with Gerry. Throughout her life she spent many happy summers with Gerry and the family at the cottage in Port Franks and travelling south in the trailer during the winter months. Jean had a wonderful life and especially loved spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by family and friends alike. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 19th from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the memorial service will be conducted on Friday, July 20th, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Jean are asked to consider the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

We are so sorry to hear of Jean's passing last weekend. Jean and Gerry were most friendly and welcoming neighbours when we moved here 15 years ago. Over the years we had many interesting and informative conversations with them. They will be sorely missed and the neighbourhood won't be the same without them. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Dianne and Eric Greenbeck (780 Grenfell Drive)

We were saddened to hear of Jean's passing. Both your Mom and Dad were always so friendly and genuinely interested in our family whenever we saw them, especially at the cottage. Your Mom was very proud of her family and especially her grandchildren! Our deepest sympathy to all of the family at this difficult time. We are never ready to say goodbye to those we love. Sincerely, Jamie and Heather Robson and boys.
