Rozalia Helen Kucharuk

June 16, 2012

Peacefully on the 16th of June, 2012 at her home, Rozalia Helen Kucharuk, in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late John Kucharuk (1988).  Loved mother of Mary Catherine Greenwell, Rose Marie Kucharuk (Alan DeVillaer) and John Andrew Kucharuk. Loving grandmother to Brendan Greenwell and Chelsea Greenwell. Sister to the late Anna Szczech (2009).  Proud member of the congregation of St. Peter’s Basilica for over 50 years, and as an active member of the St. Peter’s Catholic Women’s league for over 16 years, she participated in many activities including volunteering at St. Joseph’s Mount Hope Long Term Care Facility, numerous fundraising events, and was a regular of St. Peter’s ‘Snack and Chat.’  Rozalia was also an active member of the Kiwanis Seniors’ Community Centre.  She will be lovingly remembered for her courage, inner strength, and resilience, particularly in the last ‘chapter’ of her life as she battled Alzheimer’s to live actively, fully, and happily. Funeral service will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Tuesday, June 19th, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. Interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery. In the spirit of Rozalia’s generosity and kindness, please consider making a donation to your local food bank.
