Dear Val, Norm ,Brittany and Mike, and Skinner and Clarke families: Our heartfelt condolences to all of your family. Your family has been such a very important part of our lives for several years. We so enjoyed in participating and always being invited and included in the many events of your childrens accomplishments and highlights in their lives, especially being included in their pics! How fortunate I was to be able to drive Danny to Weldon Pk Academy and have many intelligent and interesting conversations with him during our travels. How fortunate we were to share so many visits on the deck or in our yards and to have known Danny since he was only 10 months old when you moved to Ilderton. Oh we have SO many great memories of his accomplishments and fun times. He'll always have a VERY special place in our hearts. Just very recently someone said "Danny was born mature" - and as so many people said he could have a conversation with young and old.! It mattered none - and that "gift" he had from such a young age! We felt like "second parents' to him as we do to Brittany and Michael. Val, Norm, Brittany and Mike, together, we will try to help you walk this very difficult journey. Our door is ALWAYS open to ALL all of you. Each one of hold a SPECIAL place in our hearts. Danny, you're so loved by us and will miss you FOREVER. xxoo. Art and Bernadette, Aaron and Erica and Rob Sherman.

~ Art and Bernadette Mercer

My son Brad was coached by Dan this winter as part of the Whistler Adaptive Sports (WASP) race program. We was well liked by all "the gang" of this special program and will be missed sadly in this mountain community. He was a special coach, friend and inspired these challenged athletes. Our thoughts to the family and hope Dan has many "POW" days.

~ Joanne (JO) and Brad Monteith

Dear Clarke Family, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Going to Weldon Park wtih Danny, I will never forget all the good times I had with him.

~ Rishi Patpatia

Dear Val, Norm and Family We are so very sorry to hear about your heartbreaking loss of your wonderful son Danny. It has been a few years but we will always remember what a kind and thoughtful person he was -with a real zest for life from a young age - from swimming to skiing ( especially skiing!)-always with a smile! I hope the many happy memories you have of Danny wrap you in a hug and hold you at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

~ The Grant Family (Morgan, Cathy,Morgan &Brittany)

We are so sorry. Catherine raced and coached with Dan at London Ski Club and the team was always having fun. Catherine is Australia and wanted the family to know that our thoughts are with you.

~ Catherine and Debbie Collins

Although we never met Dan, he was friends with our son Steven Villella. They met at King's and lived in the same town house in 1st year. Steven told us that Dan was such a wonderful person and lots of fun. We are so very sorry for your loss and hope that you find peace in the wonderful memories your son made with so many people. Luciano, Terry and Steven Villella

Dan was a key part of the K2 team at Whistler and was always there for the athletes and in particular our daughter Megan. His positive attitude, cheery smile and interest in helping everyone succeed were invaluable. We were so shocked to hear the news and send our deepest condolences to Dan's family and friends. We only hope that as the pain fades the positive memories prevail.

~ Steeves Family (Bob, Rosie, Kelly and Megan)

To the Clarke family: There are no words ........ but know we are thinking of you and your family at this time. We are truly sorry for your loss.

~ Rob, Sue, Rachael & Jessica Campbell

Norm, Val, Brittany and Mike, How brokenhearted we all are for you. Danny grew up before our eyes, and we knew him from Norm's "parent stories", and from Danny's visits and phone calls from time to time. Danny would always systematically go from office to office, talking to all the Moms, and of course his many computer chats with Bob. Wonderful children like him, that are so easy to love, must make their loss even worse to bear. May the countless wonderful memories you have of your son bring you comfort in the days ahead. We consider it a privilege to have known Danny, and his family. We will do whatever we can in the days ahead to easy your burden. From All of Us at Trane London

To the Clarke family: our sincerest condolences form our family to yours. Dan was a fantastic young man and was a much loved coach in Whistler. We were lucky enough to have gotten to know Dan when he stayed with us for a race weekend last season. What an amazing young man. I had many chats with Dan about the future and we were so excited when he said he was going back to school and I said that we would 'adopt' him provided it was ok with his real family. We didn't want him to be alone for holidays and also give him a place to hang out if he needed. Annika will never forget their special talks on the ski hill. She has a special photo of her and Dan from the Parson's race, that hangs proudly on our fridge. We cannot imagine your grief at this time - find solace in all of the happy memories Dan has left with so many of us. We are more blessed to have known him. Ruth, Henry & Annika Voss

Tamara and Jasmin had Dan as a K2 Coach in Whistler. They will always remember him as a great ski coach and friend. They could talk with him about anything and his bright smiles and supportive cheers made training more enjoyable. He helped them feel more comfortable and he was always there for everyone. Dan will be greatly missed and always remembered. Our condolences to the Clarke Family.

We were deeply saddened to learn of the death of your son. Jack was fortunate to have had the opportunity to know him and train with him as part of his Whistler Team. I spent a day with him gate keeping at Parsons Cup and talking about Ontario and home. How we both missed the ice. He spoke of his parents and family, skiing in Ontario vs Whistler and what he wanted to do later. He was an engaging, talented, good young man and his death will leave a void in all our lives. With deepest sympathy, Jack, Candace, Laurel and Angus

Dear Val: I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your son.

Norm, Val, Brittany and Mike - I am so very sorry for your loss of Danny. Danny was such a nice guy with the gift of gab and he certainly know how to make people smile. My thoughts are with you during this incomprehensible time. May Danny rest in peace knowing he was loved by so many. May you find strength in his memories. My deepest condolences to you. Cheryl

~ Cheryl O'Neill

In the short time I knew Danny he was able to change so much. I met him in first year at King's, he lived in the room above mine. He was approachable and easy to talk to as I'm sure most would agree. He introduced me to a number of other people I still interact with regularly. I didn't know it at the time, but this would ultimately shape my entire experience over the last 4 years in London. As a group we made it through our day-to-day struggles together and that is when you are able to really see Dan for the gem that he is. He would laugh off what you thought to be serious issues and make them seem so trivial. It has been difficult to lose a person as kind-hearted as Danny. I extend my condolences to Val, Britt and Mike for their loss.

~ Steve Villella

Dan...we were just getting to know you! What now brings us sadness once brought joy. Our thoughts are with your family and friends at the Whistler Mountain Ski Club. You will be missed in BC across the mountains and ski races but your enthusiasm will be carried on. We hope your Make A Wish legacy allow another fine young man to live his dreams on skis. RIP Daniel. BC Alpine

Norm, Val, Brittany & Michael, I cannot even type without the tears starting. We were so devastated for you when we heard the news. (We have a 22 year old son.) We ache profoundly for you and want you to know we are thinking about you and praying for you at this excruciating time in your lives.

~ Randy & Sylvia Carter

Norm, I am struck by the fact our last conversation together waiting to catch a plane was all about Danny and your overwhelming desire to provide Danny with more. As a dad too I know all we can do is oprovide the support as fully as we can. It was obvious to me you had his back 100% but some things are out of our hands. As a friend all I can do is offer our support and you have it but too much of this is out of our hands. Take it one step and at time. All the best, Roger and Kerry Kane

~ Roger and Kerry Kane

To Val and the entire Clarke family, My heart and prayers go out to you at this unimaginable time of grief. Danny was a wonderful young man, who wouldn't think twice before giving you the shirt off his back. I've never heard a bad word said against Danny, and I don't believe its even fathomable. He truly was a man of honour, and a great friend to me in high school. Although I hadn't seen Danny in the past few years, I could never forget Danny. He had that effect on people. His smile, kindness, and loyalty exemplified the perfect friend and he will be missed by all of those that had the privilege to meet Daniel Wesley Clarke Sincerely, Ben
