SMITH, Ruth Elizabeth (Petrie) – At peopleCare Oakcrossing on Wednesday, January 18^th, 2012 in her 89^th year. Beloved wife of the late W.A. “Bert” Smith. Loving mother of Cheryl “Sherry” (Rick) Jordan, and the Rev. Canon Greg (Marque) Smith, all of London. Loving grandmother of Sean (Jennifer), Mark (Maxine), Scott (Jill), Andrew (Melissa), Cate, and Paul (Chantel) and great-grandmother of Madeline, Austin, Brooke, Nicola, Cole, Claire, Caitlyn, Dylan and Devyn. Dear sister of Robert, Barbara and Ada. Predeceased by her sisters and brother Margaret (1960), Eileen (1997) and Gordon (2004). Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Christ Church, 138 Wellington Street, London, on Saturday, January 28^th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Private family interment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date.
