Brent, Ilene and family, I was so honoured to be a part of today's celebration of Ruth's life!!! Brent, as soon as you mentioned the story of the Bazaar, I choked up!!! Ilene, I shared with Brent, my memory of chatting with her at the bazaar, at lunch!!! Little did I realize...!!! She was definitely a firecracker!!! Hugs!!! Brent and Ilene, if you need anything, you know where to find me!!! Love you!!!
I was sorry to read in the paper of the passing of Mrs. Bamford. Brent and Ilene, along with your family, please accecpt my sincere condolences. Ross Spettigue Windsor, ON
Two warm, kind and generous people. I’ve thought of them often over the years. We were almost neighbours. Our home was behind theirs, on Glenburnie Crescent. You were a bright young lad who brought your parents so much pleasure…especially when you played the Hammond XTP. My wife, Kathy, and I were the Hammond dealer for many years. An organ in the home was almost fashionable in those days. So, memories of many customers have faded over the years. But not so the thoughts of your parents. They say that you never die. You live on in the hearts and minds of others and you become much of whom they were. Our fundamental faith assures us that your folk are united once again in a better place. Kathy and I just want you to know that even though the years have made us remote from your parents, they touched our lives with a gentleness that we can only respond to with respect and affection. Our sincere blessings & sympathies to all the Bamford Family. Ruth will be greatly missed by us all, but she is home now with Lorne. I will always remember, her sweetness to me & my family, especially when I was a wee girl, & we would get, an invite to go over & swim in the pool!!
