Thinking of the Smith Family during this difficult time. Fondly remembering the time Sarah and I shared making "spoooooky" designs on pumpkins and thanking the King and Queen for their hospitality at Medieval Times.

We were so sorry to learn of Sarah's passing. She was a precious child who fought a good fight and had an angelic presence. She was full of love, joy and life. I will always remember her beautiful smile. Our church faithfully prayed for her and we will continue to pray for the family. May the Lord grant you peace, grace and strength during your bereavement and the days ahead. Sarah will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Russell, Sue and Jillian. My deepest condolences to you and your family. I have to say that I didn't have the benefit of knowing Sarah for as long as a lot of others have. I also know that I won't forget her. I met Sarah last school year when I was placed at Somerset to cover for Wayne for about 9 weeks. Sarah's infectious spirit and her antics put a smile on my face and got a laugh out of me almost every time I saw her. A memory I can share about Sarah happened after one of the monthly assemblies at Somerset . I was called to the front of the assembly to dance for the school,and well... I didn't oblige. From then on Sarah always tried to teach me how to dance every time she saw me. She never gave up. Sarah's strength was inspiring and she will be sorely missed.

Please know that you are all in my prayers and thoughts as you continue this most difficult of all journeys. Sarah was an inspiration to all. I am picturing her flitting about in a better place, on beautiful pink gossamer wings singing happy songs, her courageous little body now free of pain and the cruel monster that is cancer. Sending you strength, courage, and love.

I followed your story through Caitlin who loved you dearly. Anyone watching Sarah's journey learned. We learned through her perseverance, her strength,her laughter,and her appreciation of life among many other things. We also learned from her family especially Jillian. Jillian you are an amazing courageous sister and Sarah was very lucky to have you by her side. Thank you Sarah everyone will miss you greatly.

Dear loving family and friends, My sincere sympathy is extended to all of you during this time. The story of Sarah has touched my heart and my soul like no other. Our class learned of this story during 'special intentions' one day. Learning about Sarah has been one of the most moving experiences I had as a teacher. As a mother of a child with a chronic illness (who is also in the care of the SickKids medical team), I have had the opportunity to learn of a beautiful life and a remarkable young girl. Your family has inspired me with your inner strength, love and courage. Jillian, you were like an angel to your sister. Blessings to all of you always.

I recently saw on TV a segment with the actor Paul Gross who shared a story about Sarah. She seemed to be a very sweet and friendly young girl. It was also comforting to know that her parents and sister loved and cared for her so much and were there for her.

Sarah was always such a brave young lady every time we saw her at the astral radiothon at Sick Kids. I was so saddened to hear she had passed. My deepest condolences.

I Had met Sarah only a few times through Chris, but from what I heard and witnessed, Sarah was a very cheerful and exciting little girl to be around. I would like to share a memory with the family and friends of Sarah quickly. The first time I met Sarah she was excited to meet a bunch of new people she had not seen before. She was very eager to take a picture of Chris and his friends, which brought a smile onto everyones face that was there.
