Book of Condolences

Meghan FraserLenora,my surrogate Mother. She called me the daughter she never had. I loved this woman to a magnitude that most don't find in strangers or patients. In our case Lenora was one of my residents as an RN at Glendale and boy did she teach me alot about nursing! She told it like it was, joked and carried on with us (their were 3 of us that called her Mother). We went for lunch, coffee, and all of her appointments. She had such an amazing character and a brilliant mind. I will miss her hugs and our time together. She told me all about her extensive world travels and her younger years. Her husband passed a little bit ago but she ate every meal with him even though he was on another floor. He was her soulmate and she told me he was the best husband you could ever imagine. She had 2 sons who she was so proud of. They visited often. She had an amazing life and i know she is keepin an eye on the ones she loved and the ones that loved her so dearly. You wi be missed Mother Love u with all my heart, happy that you and Carl are together again even though this sadness. Love, Megs (the daughter u never had).

Chaplain Maureen DwyerI spent many wonderful times with Leonora when I was Chaplain at Glendale Crossing. A few things about Leonora ore stood out. First and foremost her love of family. She moved into Glendale to be closer to the love of her life Carl. Their live was an inspiration to everyone. Leonora had a deep and abiding faith. She came to church services, bible lessons and prayer circles. We often prayed together. She often shared nuggets of wisdom at the Caregivers Support Meeting. Leonora also knew how to enjoy life and have fun. She sang along, danced and laughed at socials and parties Leonora I am a better person for knowing you. I pray your family will find comfort in knowing that you are reunited with Carl and that you have left this world a better place. Hugs

Rose Fraser (mother of Meghan)I was able to meet and visit with Lenora while visiting my daughter Meghan a short time back. What a lovely, charming and gracious lady. Meghan loved Lenora and grew very attached to her while working at the residence and every day after that. I am very thankful for the guidance and mothering warmth Lenora would pass on to Meghan regularly. Thank you, Lenora for being that warmth when my daughter was so far from us. Your kind, beautiful life will be rewarded. You must have been a wonderful mother to your family.❤️🙏🏽 Rose Fraser
Paula CoutinhoLeonora was a warm and wonderful character, while also a force to be reckoned with. I shared many wonderful conversations with Leonora while visiting my mom at Glendale. I loved hearing her stories about her early life with Carl, and I valued the immensely positive attitude she had towards life and the gratitude she had for how her life had unfolded. I also appreciated the care and concern she expressed for my mom and her supportive comments regarding my care of my mom. She was very generous and welcoming, and I am glad to have known her. My deepest condolences to Robert and Kerwin, for the loss of your dear mom. Leonora, may you now fly high and free...
Ferne AllardAs a volunteer at Glendale,I have many fond memories of Leonora. She was a lady that cared about others and had a strong love for family. Bridget & Tony NotherWe have known Leonora for many years and enjoyed her company immensely. She had an infectious personality and lit up the room when she walked in. Her sense of humour and joy of life spoke volumes of her gracefulness and charm and also about her family and friends. I had the privilege of taking Communion to Leonora monthly at Glendale Crossing and enjoyed our chat each time. I was also fortunate to entertain Leonora along with the other residents and family quite often. Our condolences to her family. Our prayers and thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
